This crap is still going on. Lawyers hiring marketers, not paying attention to the unethical and cheesy ways they try to game Google for their lawyer-clients, and I'm done reaching out to these idiot lawyers to ask them to ask their marketers to stop. "Oh gee Brian, I didn't know they do that."
No, you didn't care, "Get me on the first page of Google" is where your ethics end.
So, as often occurs, comments pop up on old blog posts of mine, and they look like this:

Low and behold, I hit the jackpot. Amanda's shitty marketing doesn't end with her Google gaming paid marketer.

Many more like her. I get at least 2-3 bogus posts on my blog a month from Texas lawyers and now bail bondsman. All my comments are moderated so they never make it live.

Oh hell yeah. This page is the number five result in a Google search for "attorney raquel ruano" and number four for just "raquel ruano".
That trick never gets old.
I think you need to get a life. Just because someone has been shining a seat for 40 or 50 years as a lawyer does not make them the best in the business. In fact, many older lawyers suck. In addition, nothing you pointed out is troublesome or ethically incorrect. We are advocates and as advocates we have a duty and obligation to present our client's case and facts in the light most favorable to them. This woman has been a lawyer since 2003, which is substantial experience, and lays it out in a light most favorable to her. She is not lying about it, she is presenting it. What is she supposed to say "I have only been pushing papers for 14 years and I am sure you can find a grey hair who will do it better, but I am cheap." Years of experience does not make for "the best" lawyer. She has a right to present her advertising in a light which will make people pick up the phone and call her that's what advertising is all about. As for being "the best." you know what, I am sure with her experience she is "the best" for certain kinds of cases - which is true for all of us we all have unique training, experience, and intelligence which makes us the best for one case yet toxic for others. So quit your moaning and attempt to advertise shame lawyers. Lawyers, especially new ones. Spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to become lawyers. They don't have 40 years to wait shining a seat to get their phone to ring. They need clients now - it's the name of the game.
