If she is too busy to take your case I’m sure she can refer you to others, if not, call me back.” I do ask questions of the person asking for the referral. But then again, I’m often told by my clients that I’m “not like other lawyers.” Sadly, I take that the way they mean it, as a compliment. They mean I listen to them, I speak to them in English and I tell it like it is, not as they want it to be.Kimberly A. They think they ...I have had friends do this to me. They think they are doing me a favor by making me one of several people they refer a case too. Unfortunately, I am usually higher priced (since I'm new here, but not new new and the others are brand new) I have, on occasion, lost out. Or, maybe I suck at closing the deal. I don't do this.
