I’m a dime a dozen.

While 45,000 law students graduate from law school each year, fewer than 30,000 attorney positions are available for these graduates, reported Mark Greenbaum of the Los Angeles Times. To make matters worse, one-third of graduating law students owe about $120,000 in student loans.

This oversupply of debt-laden lawyers puts you in the driver’s seat. Next time you catch your lawyer’s hand in the cookie jar, report him to the state bar and hire one of the many great attorneys waiting in the unemployment line.

Ouch.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834335945349958946.post-49777803198448302832010-03-03T20:38:05.088-08:002010-03-03T20:38:05.088-08:00"12 things American Express / Chase / won'..."12 things American Express / Chase / won't tell you." -- I'd like to read that! :)Derrick Smithhttp://www.debtconsolidatedloan.org/clear-from-american-express/03/2010/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834335945349958946.post-78081460444780650152010-02-24T10:14:54.028-08:002010-02-24T10:14:54.028-08:00So, can we assume Amex is bringing all of its lega...So, can we assume Amex is bringing all of its legal work in-house?Eric Coopersteinhttp://www.ethicsmaven.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834335945349958946.post-89161527543745479092010-02-24T08:27:12.208-08:002010-02-24T08:27:12.208-08:00I don’t even know where to start with this. I have such distain for American Express I am going to treat this as a symptom of a bigger problem – lack of common sense when dealing with their client base. I am wondering: Who gave them the marketing advice that would lead to alienating 1.2 million professionals, 95% of whom are potential cardholders?

Publishing this article was a stupid decision on Amex’s part. These are charges they accept at the time they know your are going over limit. Recent legislation prohibits that practice unless the customer specifically agrees to it. I have had three very enjoyable conversations with bank call center people trying to sell me on how beneficial it would be for me to waive the new rule and continue to let the charge me $34.00 for a 76 cent over charge.

—MikeMichael Gorthttp://magort.comnoreply@blogger.com
