YES! Tomorrow's Monday!

You feel this way about practicing law?

Probably not.

I do.

I know, "C'mon Brian, practicing law is tiring, boring, stressful, I may be getting laid off, I hate what I do, it's not what I imagined, I want to do something else."

So go.

Do something else.

"Like what?"

I don't know. But why be miserable 5 out of 7 days a week (6 or 7 if you're in BigLaw), 20 out of 30 days a month, 240 out of 365 days a year?

Why?

Are you stupid, dumb, lazy, imprisoned by promises of bonuses?

You have a law degree. There's nothing else you can do?

Is this what you wanted?

You went to school for about 19 years and now you're doing something you hate?

Why?

Because it "pays the bills," and allows you to have a "nice life?"

You're life is a waste of time if you are not doing something that you love, or at least like a lot.

You think law is the only way to make 6 figures?

Talk to my electrician. Talk to my friend the carpet salesman.

Law is changing, for good, and in my opinion for the better.

This does not bode well for mediocor BigLaw associates who have no ability to represent clients, or partners who have been living off those same 3 corporate clients.

Clients will now be looking for lawyers, not embossed coffee mugs or a well decorated lobby.

If you're dreading tomorrow because it's Monday, it's time to go. Time to take control of your career before it takes care of you.

Good rant, and I totally agree.

This is great. You just caused 10 failing attorneys to become attorney marketing "coaches".

That's exactly what we needed.

Maybe I will go sell bus stop advertising....
